Amakusa and sea slugs

Amakusa sits between the Ariake Sea, Yatsushiro Sea, and East China Sea — a diverse environment that supports rich sea-slug fauna year-round. It is also the area where Kikutaro Baba carried out his sea-slug research, and remains an important site in the history of Japanese nudibranch work.
