Order Doridida 896 species
Doridida is an order of typical dorid sea slugs characterised by a posterior dorsal branchial plume and a pair of retractile rhinophores. It includes major families such as Chromodorididae, Dorididae, Phyllidiidae, Discodorididae and Goniodorididae. Historically placed within Nudibranchia, it was elevated to a separate order parallel to Nudibranchia by the systematic revision of Korshunova et al. (2025, zlaf057).
