Description

Ground color translucent white, with irregular white blotches and scattered raised orange-yellow patches across the dorsum. The orange-yellow patches surround the base of the gill and the gill aperture. Rhinophores black. The gill carries orange-yellow tones.

Distribution

Tropical western Pacific.

Etymology

From the genus name Halgerda.

Remarks

Family Discodorididae, genus Taringa. Though the external appearance is reminiscent of Halgerda, anatomical characters place this species in Taringa.
