Description

A medium-sized phyllidiid with a dome-shaped, oval body and a vivid yellow background colour. The dorsum carries an upstanding network of sharp ridges, each ridge tipped in white. Within the depressions of the net sit one or more rounded black spots. The rhinophores are orange and bear about 18 lamellae.

Distribution

Originally described from Phuket Province (Andaman Sea), Thailand. Subsequently recorded across the tropical Indo-Pacific, including East Africa, Kenya, India, and Malaysia.

Etymology

The specific epithet suzanneae honours Suzanne, who provided the material for the original description.
