Description

Ground colour translucent white with a yellow dorsum bearing oval white papillae whose tips are tinted red to pink. Rhinophores white and elongate. Gill white. Reaches 35 mm.

Distribution

New Caledonia (type locality), South Africa, Réunion, Madagascar, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Marshall Islands.

Etymology

Latin ornatissima, the feminine superlative of ornatus, "most ornate / most adorned."
