Genus Pelagella 12 species
Pelagella J. E. Gray, 1850 is a small to medium-sized dorid genus in the family Goniodorididae. Type species: Pelagella castanea (Alder & Hancock, 1845). The mantle edge is short, thickened and raised, and does not extend beyond the gill. The rhinophores are claviform with 7–19 lamellae and are non-retractile. The gill consists of 3–8 tripinnate branches arranged in a star around the anus. Body coloration is typically brown to reddish-brown; body length ranges 3–40 mm.
