Genus Stylocheilus 2 species

Stylocheilus A. A. Gould, 1852 is a genus of small sea hares in the family Aplysiidae, with about five species worldwide. Widely distributed thanks to a long planktonic larval phase, members occur on cyanobacterial mats in tide pools and shallow subtidal habitats, feeding primarily on cyanobacteria. The dark longitudinal lines along the body are a shared diagnostic feature and the source of both the Japanese name (kuro-suji = "black stripes") and the generic name.
