Description

Ground colour is grass-green. The head, parapodia and tail bear small yellow-brown tubercles. Two pairs of parapodial flaps are conspicuously elongate; the elongated parapodial margins are jagged-edged, with the projecting portions rolling inward to form knob-like processes. These rolled portions sometimes show a pinkish tint. The rhinophores are grass-green, with yellow-brown or pinkish tips.

Reaches about 15 mm in length.

Distribution

Western Pacific and central Pacific.

Remarks

Feeds on green algae of the genus Caulerpa. The Japanese vernacular name "Midori-furisode-midori-gai" was proposed in "Opisthobranchs of the Ryūkyū Islands. 1. Cephalaspidea." Some confusion exists with the related "Furisode-midori-gai" name, since the relevant treatment in "Opisthobranchs of Sagami Bay (Supplement)" does not describe a blue stripe on the shell that some other treatments mention.
