Description

A small head-shield slug with a black to brownish background colour and scattered white spots. The body is flattened in typical Aglajidae fashion, with a small internal shell.

Distribution

Originally described from the western Pacific (around the Philippines). Subsequently recorded from Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, and eastern Australia.

Etymology

The specific epithet nakanoae honours the Japanese sea-slug researcher Dr. Rie Nakano.
