Description

A small head-shield slug. The mantle usually carries a few small, scattered white spots. Specimens from Hawaii are typically brown to purplish-brown, while those from the Marshall Islands range from brown to purple and may even appear translucent white.

Distribution

Originally described from the southern tropical Pacific. Subsequent records extend across the western and central Pacific, including Hawaii, the Marshall Islands, and the Mariana Islands.

Etymology

The specific epithet haraldi is presumed to honour a person named Harald.
