Description
A small aeolid. Cerata contain orange to red digestive gland branches and tend to have opaque white tips. Rhinophores smooth. Reaches about 10 mm.Distribution
New Caledonia (type locality), Japan, Mediterranean, and elsewhere in the tropical to subtropical Indo-West Pacific.Etymology
Latin acinosa, derived from acinus ("grape-stone, berry"), meaning "full of berries / berry-like."Remarks
Originally described as Aeolidia acinosa Risbec, 1928. Subsequently placed in Cuthona, and currently treated under Tenellia.References
