Description

Ground colour translucent pale brown; dorsum brown to dark brown. Cerata bear multiple grape-like tubercles, each with a translucent yellowish-white surface, sparse white speckling, and a darker central spot. Rhinophore sheaths cup-shaped with white rims. Rhinophores smooth and brown. Reaches 10 mm.

Distribution

New Caledonia (type locality of Doto racemosa), Papua New Guinea.

Etymology

Latin racemosa, "clustered, in racemes."

Remarks

Treated here as Doto cf. racemosa because Doto contains many cryptic species that are virtually indistinguishable on external colour pattern alone; firm identification requires anatomical or molecular data.
