Description

A medium-sized Tritoniidae, body length up to 80 mm. Ground colour translucent cream, traversed by networks of dark-brown and orange-brown markings. The body sides are pustulose and crossed by an orange-brown reticulate pattern. Rhinophores and gills typical for the family.

Distribution

Type locality: Sagami Bay, Japan.

Etymology

The specific epithet olivacea is Latin for "olive-coloured", reflecting the predominantly olive coloration of the species.

Remarks

Within Marionia, the predominantly olive coloration is the diagnostic character.
