Description
A small Dotidae, body length up to 8 mm. Ground colour white (brown forms also occur). The head and rhinophore sheaths bear black markings. The cerata are matsukasa-shaped (cone-like), with branched papillae on the surface and blackened tips. Rhinophores smooth and black.Distribution
Type locality: Izu, central Japan. Later records extend across Japan.Etymology
The specific epithet bella is the feminine form of the Latin adjective for "beautiful".Remarks
