Description

A medium-sized aeolidiid of the genus Cerberilla, with the genus-typical sand-burrowing body form and laterally projecting ceras rows. The specific epithet albopunctata ("white-dotted") reflects the white markings on the body surface.

Distribution

Japanese coastal waters; also recorded from Chinese waters.

Etymology

The specific epithet albopunctata is a Latin compound of albus ("white") and punctata ("spotted"), "white-spotted".

Remarks

Family Aeolidiidae; a sand-burrowing species.
