Description

Ground color ranges from olive to pale pink. The body bears 9-14 pairs of arborescent dorsal cerata along each side, alternating upward and downward. Rhinophores have well-developed sheaths colored similar to the body. The oral veil bears several finger-like processes along its margin. A medium-sized tritoniid, reaching a few centimetres in length.

Distribution

Tropical western Pacific, recorded from southern Japan (Ryukyu Islands) through Indonesia and the Philippines.

Etymology

Named in honour of Robert F. Bolland, who documented the opisthobranch fauna of Okinawa over many years.

Remarks

Family Tritoniidae. Members of this genus typically feed on octocorals.
