Description

Ground colour white. The cephalic shield margin, parapodial edges, and the posterior end of the mantle are bordered in black. Adjacent to each black line runs a yellow-orange line. Reaches 50 mm.

Distribution

New Caledonia (type locality), Australia (including Ashmore Reef and Rottnest Island, Western Australia), Malaysia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan.

Etymology

Latin pallidus, "pale."

Remarks

Originally described in Risbec, J. 1951 "Notes sur les Tectibranches de Nouvelle-Calédonie," Journal de la Société des Océanistes 7: 31-79.
